About Coagulation
Born from the mind of author and activist, Cora Poe, the Coagulation Foundation is a D.C.-based, 501(c)3 certified, non-profit public charity organization. The Coagulation Foundation publishes bi-annual horror and science fiction anthologies. Our books are independently published traditionally, available in hardcover and trade paperback. Our promise to intersectionality is kept by our collaboration with Lulu.com, a certified B-corporation that is dedicated to benefiting all people, communities, and the planet. The anthologies are also sold in a Green and cost-effective digital format.
These works are brought to you by international LBGTQ2S+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, disabled, low-income, and otherwise marginalized creatives. Each volume has a new, diverse cast of creators that together make a unique science fiction and horror experience that has something for everyone. Narratives range from silly to sinister, which is why ages 18+ is recommended for all publication sales and participation (the age recommendation does not apply to our Monster Merch). Our bi-annual anthological publications are released each October and June, making these macabre masterpieces perfect additions to every Halloween season and Pride month.
By supporting the Coagulation Foundation, you are supporting our budding science fiction and horror writers, visual artists, and experimental musicians in their pursuits of professional fulfillment. All participants belong to oft-overlooked demographics or fierce allied communities. Your purchase or donation succors Queer & BIPOC visibility in genres of literature historically dominated by white, cis-gendered, heterosexual males of whom fetishized, demonized, and exploited our communities as the 'Other' for centuries, ignorantly tying our proud identities to that of villainy & inhumanity. With your patronage, we together enrich and diversify these genres with our unique perspectives; promulgating empathy for long-silenced experiences through literature, art, and music. With the few available works by or about people from our communities being ban across the U.S., your support is more important now than ever.
**All profit from volumes sold of Coagulation is divided equally amongst all participating artists at the end of each season (deductions for materials taken from profit)
